Puffy Lips.

Well, yesterday was quite an interesting and scary day all together.  Scary because it was my first time having to take my daughter to the hospital.  I guess now I'm a real parent.

Anyways, it all went down like this:
Rhylee, sitting in pew at church, reaches forward for something (or is trying to get down off pew), falls forward, uses face to stop her falling motion on the pew in front of her, youth minister yells "BRAD!", I come running (thinking it only a bump), pick up Rhylee to examine face, face then produces what looks like a gallon of blood all over her dress and daddies shirt, daddy screams, daddy grabs dress and presses to face, runs out of sanctuary, youth minister runs ahead and grabs paper towels, daddy applies pressure to face with paper towels instead of dress, youth minister and daddy and Rhylee get in car and head for ARMC, we arrive somewhere around 6PM, calls mommy at work on the way, mommy is now scared, we sit in waiting room for 4 hours, we finally see doctor, doctor says "Her lip will be fine, I'll be right back", doctor comes back and applies superglue to Rhylees lip to hold it together (takes mommy, daddy and doctor to hold Rhylee down), doctor leaves again, Rhylee falls asleep on mommy while waiting for nurse to tell us to leave, we leave, Rhylee goes home and wants to play (mommy and daddy wanna go to bed), Rhylee is ok, Rhylee now looks like a miniature version of Angelina Jolie.

Needless to say, I was scared half out of my wits.  I don't like hospitals.  They are scary, take forever, and it's a rather depressing place to sit for 4 hours.  But, Rhylee is ok.  She had just bitten through her bottom lip with her razor sharp bottom teeth but no sooner had we arrived at the hospital than she was ready to get down and play with all the other injured children.

I hope we don't have to make too many more of this any time soon!
